In the 12th century, Platerius wrote that major epilepsy is a complete obstruction of the principal ventricles of the brain. And then divisions were made more along the lines of major versus minor. Although physicians from the Renaissance largely echoed what the preceding generations had written about epilepsy,. particularly ancient Greek physicians. They did make one important observation that broadened the concept of the condition.
