The Evolution of Twitter

Twitter became a platform for conversation and we saw the same thing with this weird little symbol that we know is a hashtag or a pound. Tim O'Reilly of O'Reilly book publishing started using this RT and would copy and paste a tweet from someone he followed who was retweeting him. We just built that as a convenience it's one button instead of typing it out so I agree that we fell into this because we observed they were really good observers of what people wanted to do with it.
