The Inhospitableness of Twitter

Black and queer Twitter are the mass cultural producers of Twitter. They're the barometer for what is happening in culture and what is about to take off. But while you're on this platform, you're not making any money from the engagement that you are giving the platform. And additionally, Twitter does a horrible job of making it so that these groups that black and queer people who are their biggest assets are protected from seeing explicitly racist and queer phobic content.
