Much of the liberal party opposed evolvement in europe's looming walk. They had no sympathy for either serbia or russia. Some indeed had a real fellow feeling towards germany and its culture. But then suddenly, germany blundered. Its war plan demanded an assault on france through belgium. Berlin formally notified london of its intention to invade. In 19 14 britain became the last major european power to enter the struggle.
