The Baptism of Jesus
The baptism that jesus submits to john is typical of the antitype, where he enters into his high priestly ministry and goes through a baptism. The washings that were required of priests in order to enter into priestly service were typical and preparatory of the baptism that JESUS endures here. This is the inauguration of g public inauguration of jesus priestly ministry. He's existing under the old covenant though those laws are still in place, and he obeyed all those old covenant laws. It seems to me all this ties together. I don't know if endure s the right word but i don't mean it that way.
