The Importance of Collaboration
One of the best pieces of innovation advice I've ever received is to look for the duct tape in life you want to solve a problem. One of the fundamental tools that's been taught at Stanford since the 1960s which is, keep a bug list. Richard Feynman had this fascinating habit he said I'm eating lunch with physicists all the time. He would get off the cafeteria line and he'd find somebody that he hadn't spoken with. It was deliberate about making these connections.
