Is There a Tax on Health Data?

I think there is an indirect tax that companies do pay to access data. They buy data, they license data, they share revenue generated downstream from data with the originators of that data. There's lots of creative structures in which the data sources are getting credit incentives to continue to generate high quality data. I would love it if somebody's paying some sort of tax on that that comes back to my community to help out. We don't have to go down this path.
