i love that she saw that moment in the ice cream store as a chance to demonstrate some meaning. And actually it was a teachable moment for her daughter, that instead of being angry at making assumptions about the woman,. She could give some space and be patient and say, maybe she has a good reason. I love that, because it's taking the perspective of the other. It's sympathizing. Then the woman says, thank you. Whow. That really brought it home to her and to her daughter, that people may have the reasons for doing things, and if you give them space, you may find out what that is. And it's an act of kindness.
