The coffee palace was an active trading floor for nearly 40 years from 1914 until it closed in 1950. Today the coffee palace is a museum. There's old equipment There are scales and sacks and tasting tables And of course downstairs Is a coffee shop as a graduate student. just goes to show how interconnected this history is between coffee and slavery.
