The Pandemic and the Struggle to Find My Identity
During the pandemic, I was busting all those goals. My brain went to places that it had never gone before. And even after the murder of George Floyd, when a lot of my work picked back up because organizations want to talk about race and racism at work, I still found myself in this very strange place mentally until one day a light bulb came on just out of nowhere. It was during that hospitalization that I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. After that suicide attempt, I spent several days in a mental health facility.
