The Beast of Bastille

The killer was dubbed the beast of Bastille due to the fact that several of his attacks had occurred in the Bastille Quarter, the famed Revolutionary Era Parisian neighborhood. He stabbed, sliced, strangled, or attempted to, maimed, permanently scarred and murdered seven women. During his trial, he said, quote, I will inflict pain on myself. I will never leave prison. You can live in peace. Whatever happens, I won't do it again"
