I think it's a way that we continue to harm ourselves by holding people to their role and not to, you know, who they actually are. I had a good laugh reading your part about going card shopping and how like we go card shopping and the cards are just so positive that most of our relationships are not that clear cut. We don't need to speak to the quality of the relationship because what we're saying in the card is not necessarily true. Given a sense of humor, it does bring up feelings of, okay, it's Mother's Day. You know, these sort of holidays ... can really be difficult for people.
