The Importance of Having Children
I think we're just sometimes pushed that, aren't we, by religion? And in our society, it is by capitalism and the church. Having a child is the only time I felt a connection to anything like a God. It does give me a sense of destiny or a feeling of connectedness with the planet. You might start acting in a more environmentally conscious way when you have children. So might they because the young generation care about this stuff.
