Using Rifampin or Gentamiacin in Combination for Staph Prosthetic Valve Endocarditis?
The clinical data is not really supportive of the recommendations to treat with either Rifampin or gentamiacin in combination for staph prosthetic valve endocarditis. And while there is very little clinical data available, it does not show evidence of benefit. So when we thought about how we would do like a great recommendation for this, we thought it was more of a class three recommendation,. meaning that there's no clear evidence of benefit and there's possible harm.
