John Smythe was a hugely influential figure in the Christian world. He ran camps with elite, those educated in the best schools of England. A lot of names that we know here, even in the US, like Nikki Gumbel as the Alpha course went through those camps. But he also harmed and abused many in his care emotionally, psychologically, spiritually, and as suggested by some sexually as well.
