Sembiosis

When de berry introduced the concept, the actual term was meant to be a broad, all encompassing term for mutualism, commensalism and parasitism. Did not matter how the organisms were interacting, if they were in close association and not the same species, it was symbiosis, according to de berry. And then almost immediately, people started using it synonymously with mutualism, ok? And so for decades there were kind of two terms, sembiosis, things living together. Sembiosis: things living neutualistically, interesting mutualistically, so helping each other, helping one another, actually benefiting each other,. which is how we use sembiosis
