With internal conflict, you have to get a good grip on the sub text. It's am i able? Am i worthy? These are things that characters aren't going to want other people to know. But we can see when you can see what they're saying on the outside and then you can see how it conflicts with what is happening through their thoughts. So yo have to be able to show not just what's happening outside, which is going to convey confidence and capability.
