Rosa's Life in the Desert
"I was stuck, Gloria. So I thought, I'd just do the craziest thing," she says of her decision to leave Arizona for a new life in New York City. "Here I am, light ears from home, and my shitty stories from Arizona are still relatable." Her friend Rosa ended up living out of a camper van selling handmade souvenirs on the roadside. She would go into the desert and look for animal skulls because it was 120 degrees and everything was dying.
