The Competing Factors in Hurricane Seasons
The Atlantic Ocean is warm the waters out in the eastern Atlantic or as warm as they typically are in August or September that's why we've seen Brett and Cindy develop in that region well ahead of schedule. We're also seeing pretty strong tropical waves coming off the coast of Africa earlier in the season and that's something we were anticipating this year as well. Those tend to be the seeds for the most powerful storms we get so it'll we'll see how the El Nino effects build during the hurricane season and if they're able to sort of counteract these otherwise what appear to be favorable conditions in the Atlantic.
