How do you actually listen to and engage with the argument the person sitting across from you is making? I think a lot of the times you're listening in little spurts. You're listening to remember the things you know you can dunk on later. What does winning look like? Find a way to change the subject. Do something silly. Just take a word and say it loudly three times in a row.
