The Role of Bank Regulators in Protecting Deposits
There are 5,000 banks in the United States and it shouldn't surprise any of us that some of them fail sometimes. I don't think it's possible to run a financial system as big as the U.S without some people making mistakes or failures. The good news is that when we do have these failures the regulators are very effective in resolving them. These fees come from the banks and end up being expenses that get passed along to consumers at the end of the day.
