The Benefits of Psychedelic Experiences
Mormonism is like having that the flow, right? The tingling of my arms down my spine. If a religious organization can get you to have those feelings in a religious or a political context, then you feel a sense of allegiance to the group. And so in that sense, it's kind of a shortcut. It can be conceived as a shortcut to get the payoff without doing the work. Sometimes they seem to be more of a mess after these psychedelic experiences than they were before.
