Binance and Bitfinex - Why?

Binance was able to take advantage of a shift in people's view of bit finex simultaneous with a new exchange rising that offered them many of the features they used to rely on bitfinex for. Bit start to have some really serious issues servicing withdrawals, dealing with things like that. Rumors spreading on line that they're insolvent, and that the traders are experiencing evidence of that when they try to withdraw and aren't able to. But i'm not a trader so i can't be sure of that. It's just kind of my intuition about what forces would have led to this.
