The Myth of the Bull in Crete
The myth of King Minus' Minotaur in the labyrinth, which Theseus lays. A famous fresco uncovered from Kanoosos has what seems to be a sporting event of bull leapers. It would also appear that the bull featured as an important religious figure,. Many frescoes, pottery, decorations, jewellery, and even the architecture of the palaces had elements of the bull built into them. Three forms have been found on Crete that can be traced to the Minowan civilization.
