Is It Congruent With Being a Writer or a Communicator of Ideas?

How congruant is being a writer or a communicator with the idea of saying less then necessary, right? And that does relate to the second sort of lawt you've kind of identified. I think it's super congruent. But it's a slight different usage of the too. So you still have your saying something, you just have to say it in a particular way. You don't want to tell the audience the punchling. You want them to know it. And that requires you getting them there on their own.

And that does relate to the second sort of lawt you've kind of identified, which we can get into. Your sad before we do, i just want to touch on one final point on this. You know, say less the necessary idea a.

How
Speaker 1
congruant is being a writer or a communicator with the idea of saying less then necessary, right? Because i think about that, and i think, here i am doing this podcastt about these ideas. You know, i certainly have the ambition to write books in the future, and it just strikes me that so much of what is said is noise without signal, and that it actually takes a lot of work and restraint to identify what truly is signal, rather than just word vomiting ideas all over social media and ucube and poncast platforms a yet, to to what extent do you think being a communicator of ideas is congruent or incongruent with this principle of saying less than necessary?
Speaker 2
I think it's super congruent. But it's a slight different usage of the too. So you still have your saying something, you just have to say it in a particular way. And more than anything, is because when you're a communicator, you don't want to tell the audience the punchling. You want them to know it. And that requires you getting them there on their own. You know, we were talking about a writing good television, and how a lot, like to day, a lot of writers just tell you things i movies and t v thes like the oyu know, a cop being good at their job. How do you know that? Because the sergeant goes, damn it, jem, you're the best cop on the force. They haven't shown you. They're having to tell you. So you ok, he's good at his job. But you don't know. Could beb could be just the boss's opinion. If you show them you said less than necessary, but if you show them doing the job really well, and we're talking about the scene in the wire where two detectives figure out how and where the bullet got shot from and what that means about the murder. They don't even say any words. They're torted like witches, little soot, like a metal thing. On top of that, they're nok. They're communicating at a whole other level. They're saying less than necessary.
