I don't think anybody at this point is expecting a Fed pivot to, well, let me just say this. Do you think that they're going to cut rates in 2023? I think they're trying to project higher for longer. So what if the pivot is them raising their acceptable inflation rate from 2% to 3%. Is that a good first step? Probably. But but I think this is going to get political. Powell is gone if we go into recession before the 2024 election. He's out of a job. And I would not be shocked if Powell gets booted.
