Alba De Cespedes and the Forbidden Notebook

Alba De Cespedes was an anti-fascist writer. Her books were very feminist just from the beginning and her writing was, and the fascists didn't like that much. She had a publisher, but they couldn't distribute it because the fascistsdidn't want to distribute it. When the Germans came to Rome in 1943, she wasn't Jewish, but she didn't want to live under the Germans.
