Getting Estimates in a Multiple Regression Model
Growth models can't calculate individual intercepts and slopes when doing a standard growth model, but we can use that model to get estimates of the intercepts and the slopes. You don't have to see any raw data at all. It rubs a little bit of the magic off the growth modeling lamp, which is, wait a minute, you talk about inter individual differences and inter individual change and blah, blah, blah.
