Video games have introduced techniques by which a desire for multiple endings or repetitious narratives with different outcomes can be actualized. The traditional understanding of your story is that it has a beginning a middle and an end, according to the Aristotelian idea of story. But in video games you can reverse the flow of time get back to your starting point and like play through it again. It's not inaccurate to apply this idea of story to what video games do but they become where which actualize the potential for stories that has always been latent in them to be multi-telic.
