There's always this element of ethics that comes up with technology. We often don't know where to ascribe kind of the moral center of gravity with technology. A lot of these are going to be baked into systems by, you know, very flawed people. But if that assignment of ethical standard is given to the creator of a technology early on in the cycle, perhaps there is a better outcome down the road.
