How Do You Get People to Be Clear, Written Communicators?
Tumbler has a written communication culture, and we like to invite writers. We filter for this and our hiring and we talk about writing a lot. One thing i see some of the best, particularly leaders do in the company is at the very end, they'll just make a comet that summarizes everything, including the outcome. And if i wanted to dive into a particular thread on how something was decided or mine but not others' I think one kind of downside of sincrenous communication is its kind of dense ratio. So you take things that take a short amount of time to create and then read them long after it's over. That's probably the worst way to communicate with people
