Abraham's Story Is About God in Action

After promising that abraham's descendants would be as numerous as the stars and grains of sand, god tells abraham to take his only son, isaac, and sacrifice him as a burnt offering on a mountain. And at the moment the knife was in abraham's hand to sacrifice his son, an angel says, stop. And he reveals a ram to be sacrificed instead. This was an opportunity for god to help abraham know him better. God wanted abraham to see god in action so that he could grow in relationship with him. We too need opportunities for god to show us who he is so that we can grow in relationshipwith him.
