How Early Shame Starts

Shame is at the root of addictions. How can we recover from shameful experiences? I think you first of all need to give yourself room. You probably need space. And then i think it's really important, and bernet brown will also say this, it's important to connect with other people and not let shame isolate you so uneed. To feel confident that there are other people that still love you in spite of that shame feeling you had,. Whatever you did that made you feel ashamed, it doesn't say everything about you. It's just this thing that happened, and you know, it's part of your perience, and you move on from it.
