A Brief History of the Astronesian Diaspora
The first step of what we're calling the austrasian expansion is easy enough to trace. Sometime after 22 hundred b c, voyagers from southern and eastern tian made their way across the approximately 225 miles, 360 kilometers, of seas separating their home from luzon. The batatas served as a series of stepping stones between the two land masses. It was really this region that produced subsequent groups who went south through the philippines and then west into indonesia and east into oceania.
