Credit Swiss is facing allegations that it has been handling dirty money for decades. The courts said Credit Swiss had not done enough to stop money movements by a Bulgarian drug trafficking ring. By the start of 2021, Credit Swiss was reeling from the collapse of two companies with whom it had very close relationships. It's really put Credit Swiss in a lot of people's minds as the bad bank of Europe or probably the most troubled bank in the world," Owen says.
