Wetlands Reduce Flood Risks

As a glacier naturally melts, they drip on to land in front of them. It often creates a kind of soggy, boggy patch known as a wetland. Wetlands slow water down, reducing flood risks. They release water slowly during the summer months - perfect for creating glaciers. I think what i'm really taking way from this is actually that it's not just people, it's also renewable energy, things like hydro power. What we see is part of the solution to the climate crisis that is also being directly affected by melting glaciers.
