In 1999, Robin Gex son, David Gex was charged with first degree murder and the gang related killing of a man named Roberto Cruz. He'd confessed after being beaten by a detective named Ronaldo Guvara. Guvara has had seven convictions overturned since 2017 due to misdeeds involving false confessions. One of his victims was exonerated a month ago. This is what this is what being a bad cop leads to.
