Patagonia's Opt-Out Is a Marketing Play
The opt-out side thing is certainly a marketing play, right? I mean, they still do all the Black Friday launches and sales. The outdoor industry knows that if progress isn't made on climate change, then there will be no outdoor industry as we know it in 30 years from now. And so if they can donate $100 million a year to help fight climate change or preserve lands then I think more power to them.
