How Do You Feel About Grief?
I come from a long line of people who were farmers who connected to the land and that connection was severed for a number of reasons but most in most recent living memory. My grandparents and my great grandparents were taken away to Indian boarding schools and were had their language and their culture like literally sort of beaten out of them. But as a young girl I always had an affinity everybody used to always say that I had an affinity. They would find me in the pantry like getting into my mom's cornmeal and putting it all over my body or getting out into the ground and bringing in bugs and they were always saying oh that's your Grand Marina or your great-grandma Annie coming
