Most cases of Lyme disease and some of the other diseases that are associated with black legged tick bites occur in spring or summer. Adult ticks bigger and more Lyme and disease ridden nymphs less Lyme, but it's more likely you'll find one in a crevice in spring because no one is out November. Ticks do not fly.
