How to Acquire a Key Share in PostgreSQL?
If you actually delete a row, it is acquired, right? If you if you update a row that has a primary or even a secondary key, any key really. That's from what we read here. It does not acquire when you do a normal update on a column that doesn't have an index,. You can do those kind of updates, but they want to acquire that particular key lock and will conflict with all this stuff. So the second one is a four key, select for for no key update, right? And then we go go with another harder share lock, which is for share, which basically will block any update to that.
