The big headline of the study was estrogen causes breast cancer. Women who are getting CE plus MPA have a 25 percent higher risk of breast cancer during this 5.2 year period. The WHO showed that when hormone therapy is used for prevention of chronic disease purposes in women who have average age of 63 and women in mid to later menopause on average, the risk outweighs the benefits.
