The Importance of Persistence in Trend Following
I was revisiting something that definitely has kind of slipped my mind when I think back on a conversation I had with Richard Dennis. He said one of the most important things is really the persistence. And I don't hear many people talking about persistence in it, but now that I see it again and hearing about these people overriding their systems... It's such an overlooked attribute to trend following persistence. If rich Dennis had this all wrong, Jerry Parker would not be here today. That's where he got his start from. So I think people really need to look at the totality of a rich Dennis. Can I give him a shout out? Sure.
