Boys and girls are bullied at about the same rates, but in the middle east, boys tend to be bullied more than girls. Girls think that getting a good education is one of the few ways to gain independence. Parents encourage boys to go out and play with their friends, while girls tend to stay at home and study. Very few governments are doing anything at all to help close the gap.
