One of the reasons we have so many opiate deaths is that doctors now are kind of corporatized and capitalized. In order to be a partner in a doctor's firm, you have to generate quite a bit of income for that firm. And since opiates deliver happiness, you can give a prescriptionin 15 minutes or less. Americans are desperate for happiness. As a mental health counsillor, if i have an insurance client, i have to justify why i am not medicating that client an opiated deliver happiness.
