The Effects of Smoking on Health
There's no safe level of exposure to PM 2.5 in wildfire smoke, according to the Canadian Cancer Society. Symptoms include coughs, sore throat, inhaling issues and headaches. Most people will not come to the emergency department for those issues; they'll just take advil or have a nap. The ones that we see coming to seek medical care are many times people who have a tendency towards asthma.
