How to Avoid Anchoring Your Resuscitations
Hyperthermia can present in a patient with stroke, intracunal hemorrhage, and status epilepticus. Infection of the central nervous system like an encephalitis or meningitis obviously can cause a high temperature but so can infection anywhere in the body. To avoid anchoring, create a moment during your resuscitations where you force yourself to think about what you might have missed.
