Is Free Will a Deterministic Universe?

i think it's incoherent to imagine free will being compatible at some fundamental level with a deterministic universe. Can you even imagine a set of experiments that you might do to be able to probe that, to determine, for example, whether the brain works indeterministically or not? Ah, no, i can't.
