The Rise of Sun-Biased Transmission in Occupations

What may have caused the sudden halt in gender integration at the turn of the century? One possibility is that when fathers in the past had a brilliant doctor who wanted to enter the labor market, they were very supportive. But as women increasingly streamed into male types jobs and were deemed more of a threat, fathers became less supportive of their daughters. It could instead be that the rise of sun-biased transmission is more of an unconscious reaction to the successes of women.
