The Arrogance of King Uzziah
King Uzziah took the throne when he was just 16 years old. He reigned for 52 years, and God restored Judah and some of her lands under his rule. But we see Uzziah's reign face trouble in 2 Chronicles 26-16. His arrogance leads him to make the foolish and rash decision to burn incense before the Lord. No earthly king, even the good ones, were able to live perfect righteous lives. Only Jesus is our eternally good king.
